Responsive Readings

Even if your group is just beginning to learn, we recommend you incorporate short verses of Scripture spoken in the Cherokee Language into your ritual whenever you gather.

How the Scriptures can be Used in a Typical Assembly or Gathering:

Call To Worship – used at the start of the service to praise God and encourage others to worship the Lord, hence a call to worship.

Offeratories – Read right before the offertory prayer when accepting gifts, the tithes, or any offerings.

These are verses to remind us of the blessedness of giving, the worthiness of God to receive our gifts, and our responsibility to honor God with the fruits of our labor.

Scripture Responsive Readings- Read prior to the Delivery of the Sermon for the Day, these allow full congregational participation in the worship and helps the congregation to read through the Bible over a period of time

Benedictions & Blessings – this is the closing Scripture, this can be a promise of Scripture, an encouragement to the congregation of God’s blessing and care, a general call to go out into the world and to share God’s love and message to all the world, or a praise to God for Who He is and what He has done.
