MORNING PRAYER and HOLY EUCHARIST (Rite I) of the Episcopal Church in Cherokee

This Cherokee version of the Missal was sanctioned by the Rt. Rev. Gerald M. McAllester. It was published by Cookson Institute in cooperation with Bacone College with funding from the United Thank Offering of the Episcopal Church. The text is the responsibility of A. Smith and H. L. Meredith.

note: in this version, the Ꮖ, Ꮗ, Ꮘ, Ꮙ, Ꮚ, Ꮛ [qua, que, qui, quo, quu, quv] have been substituted with a dialectical pronunciation of gwa, gwe, gwi, gwo, gwu, and gwv ; another dialect variant you may hear is that of kwa, kwe, kwi, kwo, kwu, and kwv. The meaning is retained despite which dialect is used and the symbols Ꮖ, Ꮗ, Ꮘ, Ꮙ, Ꮚ, Ꮛ do not change either.

note: in this version, the dialect form of tsa, tse, tsi, tso, tsu, tsv [which can also be pronounced as za, ze, zi, zo, zu, zv] has been used for the symbols of Ꮳ, Ꮴ, Ꮵ, Ꮶ, Ꮷ, Ꮸ; another dialect you may hear used is that of "ja, je, ji, jo, ju, jv" or "cha, che, chi, cho, chu, chv" however the meaning is retained despite which dialect is used and the symbols of Ꮳ, Ꮴ, Ꮵ, Ꮶ, Ꮷ, Ꮸ do not change either.
