Briess LME - Golden Light 1.60 lb, Extract, Extract

CaraPils - [Body, Head] 0.25 lb, Grain, Steeped

Muntons Connoisseurs HME - Nut Brown Ale2.00 lb, Extract, Extract

Fuggles (U.K.) 0.25 oz, Pellet, 10 minutes

Muntons Connoisseurs HME - Nut Brown Ale1.00 oz, Pellet, 5 minutes

Safale S-05 Dry Ale Yeast 1.00 unit, Yeast, American: Temperature Range: 59°-75° F 11.5 GRAMS

Recipe Notes:

Place 2 quarts filered water in a 20 quart pot and heat to 160*F add the grains for 30 minutes

Remove grains, Add LME and 2 gallon water.

Bring mixture to a boil.

Remove from heat and add HME

Cool in an Ice bath.

Add 1 gallon cooled water to BOTH LBK's, add the cooled wort (if needed top off to TOP of "Quart")

Aerate and pitch yeast, wait 30 minutes.

Aerate again and ferment 3 weeks at 64 - 68*F

Batch Notes:

Batch #49 and Batch #50 are made sametime, just seperate fermentors and yeast.

Two LBK's each getting a packet of Fermentis Yeast.

One with S-04 English Style Nut Brown

One with S-05 American Style Nut Brown

total of 1/2oz Fuggles hops was used for the 4.8 gallon total (for recipe I broke down for easy remember)

OG = 1.056 @ 69*F

FG = 1.012 @ 64*F

ABV = 5.9%

Kegged the beer with 60g Booster for about 2.3 CO2. Taste was very good like Fat Squirl but cleaner.

Big hit at In-service, carb seemed a little light.
