India Current Affairs Article:
The Intimate Zone Corruption.
Comment:
Indian democracy is now the autocracy of a corrupt bureaucracy.
It is true that Indian democracy has become the autocracy of a corrupt bureaucracy. Elected representatives of the people no more represent people than shamelessly living at their expense. The only powerful weapon still in the hands of the people is the ballot. When elections come, the knees of mighty and powerful politicians and their dependent bureaucrats weaken and their heads spin, for the ultimate power is vested with the people which they may wield. Indira Gandhi never in her dreams expected that she and her party would be beaten thoroughly by the ballots of millions of illiterate Indians. Nothing prevented common Indian citizens from showing their contempt by throwing the so called elites away, out from power. When most educated states voted for Congress then, the most poor peasants and workers in North India and elsewhere turned against her regime and retinues. History teaches us that there is nothing new, but repetitions of the past. We have seen the Shaw Commission trials and how these bureaucrats of India who in their family circles and in their friends’ circles are thought to be invincible wept in Court then. So everyone knows that their present show of courage and chivalry is just ballooned up ostentation. And also we all know whatever diseases they will pretend to have before the future Law Courts. It is good not to be misled and cheated by pseudo courage of such powerful administrators and legislators as mentioned in this article. If people once taught more powerful and tactful politicians a lesson once, they will again do it. This time it would be very easy. But one thing. Please don’t discourage true democratic spirits and dampen people’s confidence in their own power by portraying worms as giants and by projecting their thoughtless puny little acts as mighty international deals. People laugh when they read about them in articles like this, fro they know these fools are doing nothing in this world but digging their graves. Remember, more powerful economic empires went to smithereens in Japan recently.
