Mouth-watering formation of a new state in India.
Telengana Struggle has been going on since the time of Sundaraiyyah. It is neglect by the Union and suppression by majority communities that tempt people to separate from existing states and form new ones. It is not the first time that existing states are divided and new states formed in India. In North India many new states have thus been formed recently. It was stabilizing the political upper hand of major and corrupt political parties in the parliament through the newly introduced members from the newly formed states that prompted the union to so willingly acquiesce to formation of new states. Telugu people feeling neglect and suppression for more than a continuous 70 years means it is a plain betrayal of citizens in a problem-torn area for 70 years without even a positive inclination from rulers. When Wallabhai Patel unified India all local states were offered equal consideration and treatment in return for joining the Indian Union, but the people of this region feel that they are betrayed and that injustice is done to them. If they are given a state and anyone fears that they will go and affiliate the new state with Pakistan is only something to laugh about. Now that it has been positively thought to give them their state, why don’t give it amiably? But the Commission’s fears in this matter cannot be said to be totally groundless, though their suggestions seem to be irrational. Everyone knows that the new parliamentary representatives from this state for a long time would be hostile to the ruling classes. Therefore the Union wants to alter the political structure of the newly coming administration. It is also well aware that many nations which once boasted economic security have recently collapsed financially and many administrations which claimed invincibility were swept away in the presently ongoing world revolution. Any hostile state forming in the union may throw India a prey to such political instability. It seems that is why this stringent and somewhat war-like policy is being adopted.
