E.B.S.I.S. Infantry Gear

The Baltic States employes locally produced equipment for its military. Although a wide variety of weapons and equipment is produced within the Baltic States, their military has standardized around specific weapons. Although the Baltic States eventually developed its own energy weapons for infantry, its military would always employ conventional ballistic weaponry, due to its flexibility.

Assault Rifles:

Kbs wz. 1996 Beryl Assualt Rifle This 5.56mm NATO assualt rifle was developed in the 1990's to replace the AK-47 in Polish service. available in both Rifle and Carbine format, the Beryl combines a reliable AK derived design with the powerful intermediate caliber cartridge. The Beryl uses a 30 round curved magazine, although with an adapter it can make use of standard magazines from the M-16 or G-36. The Rifle comes standard with a flash hider and folding tubular butt stock, and may be fitted with a 40mm breech-loading under-barrel grenade launcher, or 18.5mm under-barrel shotgun, Picatinny rails, and optical sights. Kbk wz. 1996 Mini-Beryl Carbine This variant of the standard beryl is designed with a shorter barrel and lighter frame, for close quarters use. It carries the same standard features as the full sized Beryl, and may be equipped with the same options, with the exception of the under-barrel grenade launcher. Range: 984 feet (300 meters) Payload: 30 round detachable magazineG36V Assault Rifle The G36K is a 5.56mm NATO assault rifle developed by the German military, and adopted by the Latvian and Lithuanian armed forces. after the rain of death, the type was reverse engineered by the rapidly developing Latvian industry, and by 2016 the type was being manufactured in large enough quantities to replace the Beryl in EBSIS military service. it comes standard with an integral optical reflex sight with 3x zoom, folding stock, and can be fitted with Picatinny rails and a under-barrel breech-loading 40mm grenade launcher. uses a plastic 30rd box magazine. G36KV Carbine a variant of the G36V with shorter barrel for close quarters work. identical to the G36V except for range. Weight: 6.6 pounds (3kg) without magazine. Range: 1640 feet (500 meters) Payload: 30 round detachable magazineG36VE Advanced Infantry Weapon the G36VE is an early effort by the EBSIS military to deliver improved anti-armor capability, combining a 25mm high velocity grenade Launcher with a G36V assault rifle into a single man portable unit. the weapon is substantially heavier than a standard rifle plus grenade launcher combo, due to the use of a heavy, high velocity grenade launcher and a computerized night vision scope with ballistics computer (+2 to strike with the 25mm HVGL.) first deployed in 2017, it was intended as a stopgap to compensate for the slow development of EBSIS infantry scale laser weaponry. The bulky weapon was not very popular with EBSIS infantry, although most found its firepower useful. The G36VE was not exported widely, only made available to close allies of the Baltic States. MG36V Squad Automatic Weapon The MG36 is a full auto support weapon built using the G36V design. More portable than a belt fed MG, it uses a 100 round dual drum magazine and a longer heavier barrel. UKM-2000 General Purpose Machine Gun Developed in 2000 during Poland’s transition to a NATO standard military, the UKM-2000 is a general purpose machine gun firing 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition. Commonly fitted as a vehicle commanders gun or remote weapons stations, it is also deployed as a support weapon for EBSIS infantry platoons and special forces. a lightweight, belt fed weapon, the UKM-2000 is well liked by EBSIS troops, and it exported widely. NSV 12.7x108mm Heavy machine gun A locally produced copy of a russian weapon, the NSV was chosen as the Baltic State's main heavy machine gun for its range and stopping power. More common mounted on vehicles than deployed with infantry, the NSV nonetheless is a popular infantry support weapon. Weight: 55.12 pounds (25kg) without ammunition or mount.
