Issue - N1 hangs

Nexus One phone get in hang state during boot with multicolor X-screen saver going nowhere. if rebooting, battery-out/in, etc won't help, one may need to restore the phone to factory settings.

Since your Nexus One is stuck on the screen (BOOT LOADER issue), there is two troubleshooting steps we can suggest. The first step is to take the battery out of the Nexus One and then place the battery back in before turning the phone back on. If this does not resolve the issue, then the next step is that you must perform a factory reset on the phone. To perform a factory reset on the Nexus One, you will need to follow the steps below:

1. Turn the power off by pulling the battery out and reinserting it

2. Hold the Volume Down button

3. Press and release the Power button

4. You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock

5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button

6. Press and release the Power button

7. Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO

Please note that the factory reset option will wipe out all your apps and related info on your Nexus One. One good thing Google could do is to not wipe out your memory card. YES, YOUR SD MEMORY CARD DATA WILL BE PRESERVED.
