SATISES4 : Sir, Do u see any possibility that government can roll out its diesel decontrol policy,pl. give honest answer that is bpcl set to achieve four figures within six months ?

Ramesh Damani : there is no news that I have regarding diesel decontrol...i do not give price targets...(because they are rarely right)

sushmbh : Sir,Will Market Inevitably touch the old highs, before Coal IPO? What does your insight see?

Ramesh Damani : should flirt with it at thoes points...the ipo should be well received

nimish99dige : sir ur view on karuur, aegis, tvtody,

Ramesh Damani : i like them all.though aegis is fairly epensive

tudors : Good Afternoon: Balmer Lawrie. a psu co into Industrial pacakging/logistics/travel and tourism.1600 crore revenue(march 10). The company has just set a target of 3500 cr in 5 years. Eps of 72, mcap of 1000cr.. I see value in this.. would appreciate yr view

Ramesh Damani : it is a good quality co, low on growth last few years..but very consistent results

ranjan.dutta : Everest Executives Selling Shares Umesh Rastogi, Vice President (IT) sold 6220 shares. 23-Sep-2010 1000 22-Sep-2010 3773 21-Sep-2010 1398 20-Sep-2010 40 Y. Now he has 48538 shares. 30-SEP-2010 1810 01-OCT-2010 11000 What do you think of these developments before the Q2 Results?

Ramesh Damani : insider buying is very important..ppl may sell for various reasons..(buying a home, kids education etc)..u have to buy and sell a share independent of them...

drgoel15805 : I am a regular reader of your chat since many years but here is my first q. is there some value in infrastructure companies e.g. Pratibha & you never seem to recommend these type of companies. Any specific reason?? dr goel

Ramesh Damani : i generally do not follow that sector closely...hence the lack of ideas..

mycallview : What is your view on poultry sector companies like venky, srinivasa hatcheries. Being food, sector looks fabulous

Ramesh Damani : they aer doing well..but very sensitive to corn and feed prices..which are rising

maneramesh : Dear Sir, sensex/nifty has not crossed PE of 29 in atleast last 11 years and currentely PE of nifty is 25. So limited upside. Will u still advice to buy stocks?????

Ramesh Damani : i am not a great timer of the market...but market undertone seems healthy to me

gopal4444 : congratulations for your call on vip.what do u think this recent upside in vip.is the co. is believed to be sold out or due to its future prospects.as we are still holding vip from 85 levels what will u recommemd for your patient investor whether to hold or book some profit.thanks

Ramesh Damani : i am also surprised at the vertical move in vip...delivery volumes have been on the poorer side..would suggest book partial profits

mkbhatt2826 : Sir your follower from Bangalore, VIP has surged inf the last few days of trade. Do you feel the current price of VIP is a fair price, on the fundamentals?

Ramesh Damani : seems a bit ahead of the fundaments..

maneramesh : Dear Sir, u have bought 2.5 lakhs (1 crore worth) pref issue of DELTA CORP. Apart from this RJ,RKD,CLSA many storng hands bought it. Will u advice us to buy Delta corp at CMP or with 10-15% correction for LONG TERM?

Ramesh Damani : the stock is well above the placement price of Rs 51...would wait for a correction..results are going to be subdued till the casino`s come into operation..public has turned bullish hence the buoyancy in the price

k_rohra : sir ur view on central bank as heard it can be multibagger from currnt levels.plz suggest some stocks as markets luking overvalued

Ramesh Damani : it looks promising...i think it will get attention after the rights issue..they have 1 2,00,000 crore deposit base....certainly earnings can move if the economy and cr offtake remain strong

deepakrohilla : It is clear case of dumping stocks to poor investors here... I agree with viralkb.. not a share recommended in last 2 months hasmoved a bit.. wvery crap stock in market is running except mirc , mahindra ugine, pudumjee, geometric, and which run u cant catch them like kesar and d-link...

Ramesh Damani : stocks never move up because i recommend them..i wish the markets were so easy...they have a business life which when mature they move look at the old crop of hitachi, aeegis, vip, ub beer which all took time to mature...as always do not invest in my recommendation..invest if you are convinced..and respectfully take responsibility for your decisions..

kamaal2 : 2500 points up in 5 straight weeks (before this week) and the Coal India IPO is just few sessions away, and the third thing is that mkt. is close to all time high these things considering in mind is there is high possibility of 10-15% correction...

Ramesh Damani : fii inflows are large and moving the market..cant make any call beyond that

tudors : Thank you mr damani for your concise and thoughtful replies. Appreciate it

Ramesh Damani : brevity is the soul of wit

VISHAL625 : MR DAMANI WHERE THIS ONGOING RALLY END COZ NOW ADAG GROUP HAS STARTED MOVING WHICH SEEMS NEG INDICATION.UR VIEW ON CITY UNION BANK

Ramesh Damani : i dont have any such theories..

yokusha : Can Talwalkar Fitness can grow 50/60% CAGR over next 3 - 5 yrs

Ramesh Damani : maybe 30% plus

INDOTEXOFAB : Sir, the Demerger of Transport Corp Of India has been approved. Do you think this shall unlock value. Is worthwile to remain invested in it.

Ramesh Damani : i think it would help

susmita0803 : SIR UR VIEWS ON COAL INDIA IPO .SHOULD ONE APPLY IN IPO OR SHOULD ONE WAIT TILL THE LISTING , AS MANY OF THE STOCKS HAVE BEEN LISTED MUCH BELOW THE PRICE BAND IN THE PAST.

Ramesh Damani : i would recommedn to apply in the ipo in the retail portion

anshumankap : Sir, What is ur view on KFA & KARUR VYSYA BANK????

Ramesh Damani : the only thing they havein common is that they begin with a "K" and i like them both but for different reasons

karan_wonderboy : Hello Mr.Damani,Well There is Always A Confusion At What Rate Should One Buy His Or Her Favourite Stock And What is The Right Time To Sell. People Always Enter Into Stock Which is Buzzing And Already Appericiated Say 30% in A Week And They End up Keeping It For Longterm and Make Huge losses Again they Average it So In Simple Double Loss.So Plz Put some Light on This.

Ramesh Damani : it is an art not a science..it helps to have an estimate of what the co is worh according to you...buy when it is at a steep discount to that value and sell when it is at a premium

sudhakajaria : Sir, The move that we are now seeing in Unilever could be a preview of something bigger to come. At CMP, Sir, do u now see HUL participating in this buoyant market till the Coal India IPO? Can we buy at current prices? Do u see a big move coming up in this short term/ Do share with us your most trusted views. Thanks, Sir.

Ramesh Damani : lever has given its lifetime monthly closing over 300...over the next few months it could start a new bull move..i am bullish on it

TheMatador : Sir, any views on KSB Pumps? Are you still bullish? The stock has underperformed after the management has denied any buyback/delisting.

Ramesh Damani : still bullish...ingersoll could be delisted..i think they will do well

vjain1234 : My humble suggestion, Big guns like you and RJ must pressurise the govt to give retail a high discount in IPO- to draw them in, also the PSU

Ramesh Damani : i agreee..but the govt will do what it will do they do not listen to you or me (per se)

sudhakajaria : Are you more bullish on Godrej Industries or on Tata Motors at CMP? Kindly share with us, as there is some news regarding Godrej and palm oil. Thanks.

Ramesh Damani : gil has better risk reward over 2-3 year period

ajay m prabhu : I hold 44 shares of Natco Pharma @ 133 ,can hold the same for next 3-5 years is it a good stock to have in the portfolio

Ramesh Damani : phaarma is having its day..at this point i would hold

aakashagra : Dear Sir, on CNBC TV, you said, one must stick to the stocks that has brought us till here. We had bought the omc stocks. Since they are in consolidation mode, what do u say. Is the correction over? Will we see a bounceback in the current rally or not? Do guide on your favourites…BPCL and IOC, well. What about Tata Motors? Is it showing signs of a blow out? Thanks.

Ramesh Damani : you should dance with the girl you "brung" to the dance..not only is it pleasant, but politically correct...but as always they will have periods of outperformance and underperformance
