India finally rules the cricket world again after 28-years. It was the 1983 India team which was not on horizon to win and finally won; and it was now the most hyped 2011 India team which finally won. The world cup championship was special to Sachin Tendulkar as this was the only medal-ware missing from Sachin's treasure.

While chasing the historic 275 to win against Sri Lanka at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India team gave full value and entertainment with usual nail bite finish. In the final game, MSD (91*) (wait...Mahender Singh Dhoni) was declared Man of the Match although Gautam Gambhir (97) also contributed substantial in the game. Yuvraj Singh was adjudged the Man of the Tournament on his outstanding all round performance with ball, bat, and fielding.
