Sue's Thanksgiving Dressing
Ingredients
- 1 small bag Pepridge Farm Herb Stuffing
- Cornbread (1 box Jiffy Corn Muffin mix + 1 t sugar, baked according to package directions)
- 1 or 2 onions, diced
- 2-4 celery stalks, diced
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 heaping T baking powder
- 1 T poultry seasoning
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cans of chicken broth
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Break up cornbread and mix with stuffing mix
- Stir beaten eggs, baking powder, spices, and 1 1/2 cans of chicken broth together and add to breads
- Gradually add remaining 1/2 can of broth to achieve a very moist, dense mass
- Grease a large casserole pan and add dressing
- Dot the top with butter and bake 30-60 minutes, until dressing is golden brown and solid
