Sue's Thanksgiving Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 small bag Pepridge Farm Herb Stuffing
  • Cornbread (1 box Jiffy Corn Muffin mix + 1 t sugar, baked according to package directions)
  • 1 or 2 onions, diced
  • 2-4 celery stalks, diced
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 heaping T baking powder
  • 1 T poultry seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cans of chicken broth

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Break up cornbread and mix with stuffing mix
  3. Stir beaten eggs, baking powder, spices, and 1 1/2 cans of chicken broth together and add to breads
  4. Gradually add remaining 1/2 can of broth to achieve a very moist, dense mass
  5. Grease a large casserole pan and add dressing
  6. Dot the top with butter and bake 30-60 minutes, until dressing is golden brown and solid
