Mom's Chipped Beef

  • 1 jar of dried beef
  • 1 T butter
  • 2 T flour
  • 1 C milk
  • pepper
  • toasted loaf bread
  1. Melt butter in skillet over medium heat
  2. Add jar of beef and cook for a few minutes
  3. Stir in the flour and cook for another minute or two
  4. Reduce heat and add milk
  5. Cook until it comes to a thick gravy-like consistency. If it gets too thick, add more milk
  6. Season with pepper and spoon over toast
