Heuchera soltisii

I described this Heuchera in collaboration with P.J. Alexander. This species is approximately intermediate in floral form between Heuchera novomexicana and Heuchera parvifolia. One feature marking it as close to H. parvifolia is the large yellow nectar disk. It occurs in the Organ Mountains and some adjacent mountain ranges of southwestern New Mexico.

The more northerly populations tend to have smaller flowers overall, and sometimes they have a little more green.
