Heuchera mexicana

This species is found in the northern Sierra Madre, both Occidental and Oriental. In floral morphology, it is practically identical to Heuchera rubescens, as are all species of subsect. Hemsleyanae, but vegetatively and in the inflorescence it is much more robust.

Pictures (of H. mexicana var. mexicana) taken from cultivated plants from Bufa del Diente, Tamaulipas, kindly sent to me by the Berkeley Botanical Garden.
