This species is found in central Arizona in the vicinity of Prescott (the Bradshaw Mountains). It is distinguished from all other species of Heuchera by the possession of six sepals, petals, and stamens in every flower. Other species occasionally have this and higher numbers as rare variants (somewhat more common in n. sp. 1) but hexamery (six parts) is fixed only in this species.
