Heuchera hirsutissima

This species is found in the vicinity of Mount San Jacinto outside of Palm Springs, California. Various records further south of this are probably incorrectly identified. It is a high-alpine species. The petal claws are not exserted, unlike H. elegans; only about half or less of the expanded portion of the petal surpasses the sepals.
