ROJoson Intentional Life Plan - Evaluation - 2020 - Having Contentment in Life

ROJoson Intentional Life Plan Evaluation, Review and Improvement Planning on January 7, 2021

Fourth goal: To have contentment in life until graduation day.

Evaluation:

I have been trying my very best to always have contentment in life since my 70th birthday on January 31, 2019.

I have defined my criteria of contentment in life - the minimum to sustain my living, the minimum to make me stay alive and not crippled, productive, having peace of mind, and enjoying life in this world (in terms of finances, profession, number of patients to serve, etc.) I have considered myself as a minimalist person.

I have been achieving these "contentments in life" and I am satisfied and enjoying my life to the fullest.

IN 2020, DURING THE COVID19 LOCKDOWN AND WITH REDUCED EXTERNAL ACTIVITIES AND REDUCED MEDICAL PRACTICE, I HAVE ADJUSTED MY MINIMUM CRITERIA OF CONTENTMENT. I WAS PARTICULARLY CONTENTED WITH THE MILESTONES THAT I ACHIEVED IN 2020 AND MY HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.

In January 23, 2015, I made this statement or resolution:

Determine the end-points in all the programs and projects you want to do in your life that will be considered as criteria for “contented enough.” After you have achieved the end-points, retire completely and just cherish the memories of what you have done.

ROJoson – January 23, 2015

I also made the following resolutions:

Contentment means the following:

• Peace and relaxation of mind.

• No rat race.

• No such sayings that I have too much to do; too many responsibilities to shoulder; too many deadlines to meet; too many achievements to be achieved; too many money to earned and to be saved; too many promotions to be earned; too many calls to be made; too many letters to be written; etc.

• Strivings for more in anything have ceased.

• No thinking that if I’m content, people might think I have lost my ambition.

• Saying such things as good-bye schedule; see you later, routine; come back tomorrow, deadlines.

ROJoson – February 3, 2015

I already set the minimum criteria of contentment in everything that I do.

Examples:

  • Number of patients at the clinic: 100 patients per month

  • Number of operations per month: 8

  • Number of lectures per year: 12

  • No more formal lectures in 2019.

  • No more hospital administrative works starting 2019.

I will just focus on ROJoson Online Collaborative and Interactive Learning on Education for Health Development in the Philippines, Patient Empowerment Program and Intentional Living Program from 2021 to 2032.

Review and Improvement Planning:

  • Will maintain my minimalist approach to everything.

  • Will define criteria of contentment for other activities that I may do in the future.

  • Will gather evidences on how having CONTENTMENT IN LIFE will contribute to ENJOYMENT, HAPPINESS, LONGEVITY AND HAPPY DEATH.
