ROJ Intentional Living Plan Evaluation - 2023 - Staying Alive & Not Crippled

ROJoson Intentional Living Plan Evaluation, Review and Improvement Planning on January 5, 2024 for the Year 2023

First goal: To stay alive and not crippled up to age 75 with stretch to age 83

Evaluation:

Though not in perfect health (though not completely without diseases), I am still alive and not crippled at age 74, only 3  weeks to go before my 75th birthday on January 31, 2024 (Date of evaluation: January 5, 2024)

·         Can still do total self-care.

·         Can still ambulate without limping.

·         Can still run (though avoiding as much as possible to preserve functions of lower extremities)

·         Can still climb up stairs.

·         Can still drive a car.

·         Can still do surgery, major and minor, if I want to 

·         Can still manage patients doing ROJoson TELEMEDICAL CONSULTATION and FACE-TO-FACE MEDICAL CONSULTATION (started in May 2022 but only at a frequency of once a week up to now - January 2024 - will continue with this frequency)

·         Can still do daily at least 3-km walking exercises (one hour) - can do more if there is time.

·         Can still do stretching-flexing exercises for about 30 minutes daily.

·         Can still do non-strenuous windsurfing - latest done - last quarter of 2023

·         Can still do stand-up paddling - latest done - last quarter of 2023

·         Can still swim.

·         NO clinically evident cancer yet.

·         NO stroke yet.

·         With controlled hypertension (on amlodipine) at 140/90

·         With on and off carpal tunnel syndrome more on the left fingers than on the right fingers (more than 19 years now) but still can use hands to type, to operate, to drive, etc.   - lesser now in intensity and frequency  in 2023 (don't know the reason - no operation; no injection; no medications).

·        With on and off degenerative osteoarthritic pain on the right thumb - still manageable - 2020 to 2023  (3-4 years now) - did not increase in size.

·        With bunion on the  right foot - with no significant deterioration as of January 5, 2024.

·        NO more disturbing left flank pain since  last attack on October 2023 up to now.  See history of my flank pain.

·         With on and off mild and non-disabling joint pains and leg cramps, controlled by stretching-flexing exercises.

·         Still with good eyesight corrected by eyeglasses with no cataract yet.

·         With on and off dental problems but still can chew and eat foods with enjoyment (sensual pleasure). 

·         With nail problems but minor and not disabling.

·         With 3 soft tissue masses on the left upper extremity (lipomas) and not disabling.

·    Note 1 on acute event affecting my health: Still have bouts of anxiety and mild depression since start in October 19, 2021, on and off, up to October 2023 (2 years).  In remisision from October 2023 to January 5, 2024 (feeling better - hope it will continue on).  No meds.  I have remained functional and productive despite the depression.

·         Note 2 on acute event affecting my health: No bouts of flu-like symptoms for the whole year of 2023 except at one on December 28, 2023  (one-week duration).  Recovered on January 4, 2024.

Review Results:

·         Will continue goal of staying alive and not crippled up to age 80 (2029) with stretch to age 83 (2032).

·         Will continue, maintain, and refine as needed my healthy lifestyle program.

·         Will continue anti-hypertensive drugs.

·         Will continue stand-up computering.

·         Will work to control my anxiety and depression

Improvement and Maintenance Planning:

·         Continue refining Be Productive Program. (productive yet not exhausted).

·         Continue refining Peace of Mind Program.

·         Continue refining Contentment Program.

·         Continue refining Enjoyment Program.

·         Maintain and sustain at least daily 3-km or one-hour walking.

·         Maintain and sustain 25-30 minutes of stretching -flexing exercises daily.

·         Maintain diet control to target less than 72 kg.

·         Be selective on choice of foods  - healthy diet.

·         Will continue stand-up computering.

Will keep on refining on strategies and tools on how to stay alive and not crippled as long as possible up to 83 years old at least.

At the moment, having a healthy lifestyle, being productive, having peace of mind, being contented, and enjoying are my main strategies to stay alive and not crippled as long as possible.

Will continue to research and refine these strategies as needed.

 Will work to control my anxiety and depression .
