Registration
After the student has returned his/her acceptance and uploaded a passport photo, an automatic Registration email will be sent from the College office.

A certification letter can be downloaded from the GU postgraduate system after registration is complete. The student needs to enter a UK address FIRST (this can be temporary).

Advice from Rob Heath
'I found CityLets/RightMove and Gumtree most useful.
CityLets allows you to set a geographic area (typically “Glasgow West”) and plot the results on a map, and filter by other factors such as furnishing level, price, number of rooms, etc. RightMove has similar functionality. Both use premium-rate forwarding phone numbers to connect you to the landlord.
I found the property I’m in now via Gumtree. Gumtree seems more popular with private landlords, which means you can save a bit by circumventing the agency, but it doesn’t have the same level of search functionality as CityLets so you have to trawl a lot of junk.
I hope this is helpful for the new students.
