Humanities Haze

Humanity sits in a very unique position in the new millenia. Study and understanding of our consciousness is still in it's infancy (In the grand scope of human existence). Expert conclusions today are merely the second generation of study based off first generation theories (Freud, descartes, nietzsche). Psychological experts today did not invent the study of the mind, they are only working to perfect it, however distorted by their own drive to understand themselves and thus humanity in this modern world. No greater quote summarizes our place in this new millenia better then a quote from the movie Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk

  • Toleration is societal adaptation often ignored by an inability for reflection

  • Reflection is the output of one's observations Without reflection there is no creation

  • To educate with copy/paste is a disgrace, Their views may make yours look displaced

  • The strength of an obsession is amount of dedication one has to answer themselves

  • To start out without direction is a good start at getting lost.

  • I'm continually living at the edge of my understanding.

  • Criticism is part of humanity, there is a stark contrast between those who can't deal with it and those that look to thrive off it. Those that think they have nothing to change are the ones that fail in life.

  • The vast majority of humanity will not take upon learning a new trait on their own, they have to be shown. Even then they fear the unknown.
