b. Friday Forum

International Forum on Singularity: Exponential X (Friday Forum)

Date: June 9 (Friday), 2017

Time: 09:00 - 16:30 (Opening 08:00)

Venue: Suzaku, RIHGA Royal Hotel Kyoto

Higashihorikawa-Dori Shiokoji-Sagaru Taimatsu-Cho 1, Shimogyo-Ku, Kyoto, 600-8237 Japan

Scope

This is the first international forum to invite key thinkers to exchange ideas for the exponential evolutions of technologies toward singularities of life and societies. All lectures are invitation-based.

We are approaching the end of the Moore's law. However, exponential evolution might not necessarily be linked to silicon, but it is a bigger humanity trend based on the explosive combination of information. This forum exchanges insight on the meaning and future implications of the exponential law, in relation with the state-of-the-art moves in a variety of domains. Questions such as follows will be discussed.

"Where will the next important exponential evolution arise?"

"What is its impact on the society and life?"

"What is required for making this happen?"
