These policies address toilets and handwashing facilities at ranch and packing house.
RANCH-Cleaning and restocking records of the bathrooms and handwashing facilities at the ranches shall be maintained. Appendix V. Bathroom Checklist.The company that services the bathroom and hand washing stations shall provided copies of their cleaning of catch basins and emergency response plans.
PACKINGHOUSE-Cleaning and restocking records for the bathrooms at the packing house is Appendix V.1 Packinghouse Bathroom Cleaning. It is the responsibility of the Cooler Supervisor to fill out the log, ensure bathroom is fully stocked and clean the bathroom daily.
It is a company policy that all employees are required to wash their hands prior to work, after breaks, using the bathroom, after eating,smoking, coughing, sneezing, after applying any fertilizer or crop protection product. Nails shall be clean and cut.
Hand washing procedures must entail washing hands with soap for 20 seconds and drying them with disposable towels. Water is turned off with disposable towels, and towels are deposited in a covered trash receptacle. Hands are dried before putting on gloves.
Clean and operational toilets will be provided to all JAS Family Farms employees and visitors at each ranch. At the packing house facility, a single entry bathroom is provided by the facility owners, PMC cooling.
All toilet facilities in fields and packing house shall be located within 1/4 mile or a 5 minute walk.
There shall be at least 1 bathroom for every 20 employees or a single stall bathroom. Separate toilet facilities available for men in women if working in groups larger than 5.
All bathrooms at ranches and pacing house shall be equipped with hand washing signs reminding employees and visitors to wash hand prior to returning to work.
all cleaning of bathrooms and hand wash stations will be done at least 30 feet from the edges of crop production areas. The cleaning is done by the contracted bathroom company and the cleaning procedure is maintained on file with JAS Family Farms Organcis.

They shall always be stocked with single use paper towels, soap, and a trash can with lid.
