The food safety plan has now been placed in electronic Google Site format. Changes to the food safety plan will be done by the compliance specialist.
The food safety plan, documents, and record templates are electronic. Templates of records and documents and will be uploaded to a to the Label Desktop (Abi's desk) in the Food Safety Logs folder. . The General Manager and Administrative Director and compliance specialist will all have access to documents.
• Who is responsible for document control (i.e. making sure documents are updated and securely stored). Abigail
• How documents are to be written, coded and approved. If the document is updated, add the appropriate edits, and update the revision letter. If a new document is created, look at example in Primus Toolbox. Approval done by Tony after it has been completed.
• How changes are identified and recorded . changes will be identified by the revision letter and date on the updated document.
• How the inadvertent use of obsolete documents is prevented. Obsolete documents should be removed from the food safety document folder.
All documents and record templates are in either Microsoft Word or Excel. With significant changes to the document template, the revision version letter is changed along with the date and description of the change. New templates will be uploaded to Google Drive and older versions of the template deleted.

Documents and records that are filled out by hand are stored in hard copy in binders by the Administrative Director and housed in the offices of JAS Family Farms Organics. All records are stored for a minimum of 24 months.
