A Two Higgs Doublet Model with Minimal Flavor Violation at the LHC
In light of the LHC Higgs results, I discuss the phenomenology of a two Higgs doublet model (2HDM) where both Higgs doublets couple to up-type and down-type fermions with couplings determined by the minimal flavor violation (MFV) ansatz. In the studied model, the couplings of the light Higgs to the top, bottom, tau, and the gauge bosons can be modified independently, implying that the 2HDM type MFV is a very flexible framework to interpret the Higgs results from the LHC. I also discuss the properties of the heavy scalar H in the model. In some regions of parameter space a substantial range of its mass is either ruled out, or on the edge of detection, thus providing motivation for the LHC experiments to continue Higgs searches across all channels in mass regions where a SM Higgs is already ruled out.
