Higgs boson and New physics
The mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking and the origin of mass are central problems of particle physics. Search for the Higgs boson at high energy colliders is a crucial step towards to the answer. There have already been early hints of Higgs boson signal at the Large Hadron Collider and the Tevatron. After a brief review of the Higgs mechanism, I will survey the current status Higgs searches. I will discuss the implications on new physics scenarios, such as supersymmetry.
