The Meaning of the LHC's results: The Loss of Naturalness?

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN in Geneva has finished its long first run. A tremendous discovery was made -- the Higgs boson -- yet other well-motivated physics ideas did not show up in this first pass. I discuss the implications of these results for the near term and long-term studies of particle physics.
