Singularity structure and massless dyons of pure
N= 2, d = 4 theories with SU(r+1) and Sp(2r) gauge groups
We study Seiberg-Witten (SW) theories with SU and Sp gauge groups with no flavors. At rank 1, Seiberg-Witten
curve is the F-theory torus denoting two real directions of the complexified coupling constant. The moduli space of the D3 brane maps 1-1 to the moduli space of the SW theory at rank 1. We would like to know whether we can still equate F theory with SW theory at higher ranks as well, and we want to know whether one can build a 1-1 mapping between moduli spaces. We study singularity loci of the moduli space of the SW curve. Using exterior derivative and discriminant operators, we can find Argyres-Douglas (AD) loci of the SW theory. We also compute BPS charges of the massless dyons of SU and Sp SW theory. In a detailed example of C_2=Sp(4), we find 6 points in the moduli space where we have 2 massless BPS dyons, and 3 of them give AD loci. We show that BPS charges of the massless dyons jump as we go across AD loci, giving an explicit example of AD loci living inside the wall of
marginal stability.
