Background

Not much was known about Khalmer. One of his followers, the Heretic, has claimed that it is a pillar whose existence is miraculous, as in the chances of it having been made were fairly low. He does not seem to maintain active relationships with his brothers, being unallied in their mutual war for survival against Shul. Chracio considers him a weird one.

While the location has not yet been divined by the outside world, the Silver Foxes were able to gain information on the pillar itself, a table with various mysterious objects placed on it. The table lies n the center of a cave and is attendant by followers of Khalmer who wear masks.

His followers have shown a great degree of secrecy ... keeping themselves, the location of their pillar, and their attunement secret. They've also shown great ability. Schyler has shown an adeptness with recondite magic, staging, conveyance, and divination that is far beyond what any of the Silver Foxes are used to or have seen. During his stay with them, there were only a couple of magical abilities among the group he wasn't able to identify or mimic. The Heretic, too, has proven himself one of the most powerful and dangerous men on the continent. Politically, he seems to control most of Atria from the shadows, even while being opposed by the political forces of Felspar, the leaders of the First's church, and the wildcard vigilantism of the Silver Foxes. Magically, he has a reputation to be feared. Beyond his army of Null soldiers, he has employed plague, corpse puppets that he can see through remotely as well as mind magic that allows him to assume control of his willing subordinates. And he is own the path to ascendance.
