B. Seven Properties
Haelyst
Graded as a percentage, haelyst is a measure of how easily the blood be evaluated can be mixed for other things. High values mean that blood can be more easily mixed into potions. It also means that the individual being measured is more vulnerable to having their blood scried.
There's a wide variance in values between different species and between individuals of a specific species.
Human tend to have high values
Brenthians tend to have high values
Centaurs tend to have medium values
Skarlak tend to have medium-low values
Known but not in the book: Glad has a high value ... somewhere in the high 60s. Vulsh has a low value.
Traufum
Much narrower variation person to person
Known but not in the book: Glad has a high value. Vulsh has a high value.
Trauthum
The value of this measurement tends to be the opposite of the Taufum
Known but not in the book: Glad has a low value. Vulsh has a low value.
Ostis
The measurement of how easy it is to change or effect blood
Croma
A grouping of different blood types. This value comes into play when using recondite effects or determining which ingredients affect which species.
Not much is confirmed about what causes two species to share or have different groupings. There are theories about local, experiencing magic events, diet, etc.
The groupings
Humans
Shul'Garoth
Centaurs & Brenthians
Skarlak & Kiteki
Rhopstentch & Virtaugh
Najana & Silvestri
