Background

Aeonus is the red dragon that preceded Shul. He lost his seat at the table when Shul, his red and green progeny, allegedly usurped his seat through treachery. He returned to the world when Syntyria called out to him for salvation by name beyond Dhynn's protective barrier. He possessed her body, which became his pillar. He's shown the ability to call out more strongly to null ones than other dragons have shown themselves capable of. His pillar is more purely red than Shul's.

Aeonus believes in alliances, honor, and using the strength of the many to protect the one. He sees no honor in Shul's version of strength. Aeonus believes Shul's need for personal dominance over all, no matter his foe's ability to defend itself, as a weakness.

He is allied with Losken. He also offered protection from Shul to Mercayen, which is a debt he fulfills on his return by protecting her children.
