You scan the waters with your lamp, trying to spot where the lizard went. The water is murky, but not terribly so. After a few minutes, you finally spot it on the far side of the lake. It seems driven away from the lamplight. You decide to take the chance, and jump into the water, paddling over to the rock with your pack. As you pull yourself out of the water, you look again for the lizard, it remains on the far side of the lake. You take the pack over your heard and return to the larger stones.
Once there, you break out the first aid kit and tend to your bite. The marks aren't deep, and with enough gauze and tape you're able to stop the bleeding. You use some anti-bacterial cream to stop any infection. Pulling your clothes off, you wring out the water and break out a thermal pack to help yourself warm up. After several minutes of this, you feel much more refreshed. Taking a swig of water, you scan the room and spot a large tunnel as the only apparent way out that's above the water. You check once more for the lizard, but can no longer see it. Pulling your pack on, you step gingerly into the tunnel and head deeper into the cavern.
