Giving up on the pack, you pull yourself up on the side of the wall. The leg hurts and continues to bleed, but does not appear to be broken. All of your joints feel stiff now from the cold water and blood loss, but you vow to soldier on. Scanning the walls, you see an exit that's above ground and limp over to it. You pause for a moment at the entrance, listening for any hissing sounds, but hear none.
The passageway is very large and round. You have trouble leaning on the wall for support given how much it slopes away. The stones are slippery, and you fall several times. Once, you land on a sharp rock that cuts deeply into the bite mark, and you howl in pain.
Immediately, you hear a hissing sound and realize your mistake. You try to pull yourself up, but as you do, you are confronted by a creature larger than an alligator. It is another lizard, but bigger than anything you've ever seen before. It's long snout is knarled and wrinkled. You can tell it is incredibly old. You begin to back up, but the giant creature knocks you down, stepping on your injured leg. With horror, you hear the bone crack. You open your mouth to scream, but no noise comes out as you stare into the giant lizard's eye. It swipes at you with its claw, and you feel your head hit the stone, but nothing more.
The End.
