You ignore the girl's concerns and begin checking to see if the ankle is sprained or actually broken. The girl screams as you touch her ankle, which echoes long and hard through the tunnel, as well as your ears. You wince from the intensity, but remain focused on the task at hand. It does not appear to be broken, so you begin to pick her up so that you can carry her back outside to where you pack and the first aid kit are. The girl continues to shriek at your actions.
As you do this, you think you spy something moving out of the corner of your eye. You turn in time to see a fist come flying at you. It strikes you in the forehead, hitting like a hammer, causing you to fall back against the cavern wall. Your eyes make out the silhouette of a man who stands over the two of you. He speaks to the girl in the same incomprehensible language, but you drift unconscious as he bends over to help her up.
When you wake up, you're back at the cave entrance. You've got a throbbing headache and as you feel it, your hand pulls away a little dried blood. The cave is quiet again, and you find it's starting to get dark. The prospect of spending the night in the cave does not appeal to you, nor does trying to find your way back after the sun has gone all the way down.
Disappointed, you pick up your bag and begin the long trek back to the village. Nothing was taken from the bag, so you weren't mugged. Perhaps you stumbled on a cult of some sort. Either way, the cave is much too dangerous to explore on your own, and any charm it might have had is long since gone.
The end.
