The water gets warmer as you make your way upstream, and the tunnel continues to drop down. Within just a few minutes, you find yourself in a situation where to continue forward would mean take a breath and diving underwater. Unfortunately, the water is now painfully hot to the touch. Steam is pouring off the water, leaving you drenched with sweat. You aren't sure where the water is coming from, but if there is a chamber beyond this low spot, it's likely dangerous or even deadly hot. With some frustration, you turn and try the path downstream.
