Task: Materials & Components. (5 marks)
Before you start making, you need to let your teacher know all the materials and the electrical components that you will need.
Then we can then ensure that they are available, prepare the correct sizes and order any additional items specific to your project. You should prepare, in consultation with your teacher, a cutting list and a component list.
This often called a Bill of Materials (BOM)
Materials:
1. Indicate the part
2. State the number of parts needed
3. The size. (Length x width x thickness)
4. The materials to be used
eg:
Components:
These are things we buy such as light bulbs, inline switches, 12v transformers etc
1 x 12v Transformer
1 x 200mm LED strip
1 x Toggle switch
Task: Production Plan (15 marks)
You need to create a production plan that outlines the major steps you should undertake in order to complete this design task. You should have a simple parts list already.
Please make your own version of the table below and outline the steps need to make you speakers.
A good production plan is one that could be followed by others.
You need to follow your production plan! Do gain feedback from teachers and peers to double check that your planning is feasible, but once you certain, you should be good to go.
Please copy and update the following table as a process journal. Take photos and make short comments as you work through the making of your project.
The steps come from your Production Plan above.
