Create:At the Level
Build the desk organiser!
You must:
Demonstrate a good understanding of how to use the tools and equipment in the workshop.
Work in a safe manner and respect the rules of the workshop environment.
Complete your design organiser to the best of your ability and to an appropriate level.
Take several photographs (action shots) along the way to show how your build progressed. Be sure to keep photographs in focus and ensure that they are close enough to the action to show details.
Evaluate: At the Level
"Fill' your organiser with the items you intended to store and take photographs.
Comment on how well, or not so well, the organiser performs.
Create: Above the Level
Complete A process journal as outlined in the table bellow. In addition to taking images of your progress, you should include a brief description of what occurred each lesson. Include the tools used and the construction processes undertaken.
What problems you encountered and how you solved these problems?
Evaluate: Above The Level
If you have made any changes to your design, which is absolutely fine, you just need to explain the reasons for these changes. A paragraph or two and/or annotated sketches highlighting these changes should be included on your word.doc
Create: Well Above
Create a pamphlet, information booklet or product label that advertises your product to potential customers. The advertisement should promote the positive features of your product, include a high-quality photograph or image, and include "Care" and "safe use" instructions on how to use and maintain the desk organiser in best condition.
Evaluate: Well Above
Write a written reflection of the success of your finished organiser and how it compared to your original design.
What changes would you make if your were to make it again?
Take your organiser home and conduct a field trial. See how it performs in the wild! Explain how you will test your product, by whom and where.
Make a YouTube style video showing how it works and the items being stored.
Upload the video to your favorite video sharing platform and include the link on your word.coc
Consider the essential questions:
