SELECTION OF METHODS FOR SEPARATING OF SCANDIUM MINERALS

During the processing of minerals containing scandium, plants use the following types of separation:

Scandium is extracted as a byproduct from slag (Sc₂O₃ 0,01-0,5 %):

Bauxite (Al)
Uranium ore
Ilmenite (Ti)
Wolframite (W)
Cassiterite (Sn)
Zircon

V

Scandium can be extracted from hard coal and Laterite.
