Botanical Club of Wisconsin – March 2016 Meeting

Has the winter got you down and hankering to see some green? Please join us on Tuesday March 8th in Birge Hall on the UW-Madison campus for a tour of the Botany Greenhouse (http://www.botany.wisc.edu/plant-growth-facilities.htm). The Botany Greenhouse has served as a laboratory of learning and oasis of tranquility for generations of University of Wisconsin-Madison students. The eight rooms encompass over 8,000 square feet and feature more than 1,000 species comprising distinct aquatic, desert and tropical communities. The tour will be led by Mo Fayyaz, Director of the Greenhouse and Botanical Garden and a Distinguished Faculty Associate in the Department of Botany. We will meet in Room 158 Birge Hall for a brief introduction and then head down to the greenhouse.
