Foray to Honey Creek SNA April 29th.

The Club will be hosting a number of informal forays this summer in addition to our usual botany blitzes. We'll make trips to Honey Creek State Natural Area in Sauk County throughout the summer to help support the Wisconsin Society for Ornithology's upcoming management plan for the site. Anyone is welcome to join us as we botanize in different parts of the SNA, including pine and hemlock relicts, sedge meadows and oak forests. Learn new plants, see cool natural communities, and help our partners in conservation. Each foray will probably last 2-3 hours. Our first visit will be Saturday April 29th at 10:00 am. There is no designated parking area at the SNA so park along Skyview Road just west of Alder Drive. Look for the trailhead and the SNA sign on the north side of Skyview Road. Bring water and snacks or a lunch.
