Look for the thinking head to help you identify the "big ideas" to take away from the lesson, as well as the open book to easily find definitions.
Colour is what we perceive when light strikes an object and reflects back to the human eye.
There are three properties of colour: Hue, Value (or brightness), and Chroma (or saturation).
Hue
the name we assign a colour (i.e. sap green, turquoise)
text
Value (or brightness)
is the quality of "lightness" or "darkness" a colour has (i.e. navy blue is a dark value when compared to a lighter value like bright yellow)
text
Chroma (or saturation)
is the intensity or vividness of a colour

Colours can be cool (blues, greens, most purples) or warm (reds, oranges, yellows).
Artists use colour to convey emotions and associations (i.e. the colour red can communicate ideas of anger, love, and heat).
