Part 1: Edit "Best" 5 Photos in Photoshop

(Completed Individually /10 Marks)

Choose what you feel are your "best" 5 photos from the "Composition Mission" photo shoot of 20.

Base you choices on image quality (exposure) and composition success (is it visually interesting?) is the subject in-focus?)

Download those image files onto your own Computer Desktop to work with.

Launch Adobe Photoshop and open ONE PHOTO FILE AT A TIME
- Follow the "Basic Image Workflow" Steps to edit EACH PHOTO
- remember, the edits you make depend on the original photograph and the creative composition/mood/effect you wish to create
Submit all 5 EDITED PHOTO FILES to Google Classroom
- you will earn 1 mark per photo for technical skills demonstrated in Photoshop
- you will earn 1 mark per photo for compositional/artistic choices made

Part 2: "Best 5" Photo Collage in Photoshop (Completed Individual /10 Marks)

Open Photoshop and Create a New Photoshop Document
- FILE > NEW
- set resolution to 300 ppi, set document size to 9 inches height and 12 inches width
- title the document: Best5Collage
- the file should end with a extension of .PSD for a Photoshop file

Copy the selected photograph
- EDIT > COPY -or- use the keyboard shortcut of Command + C
Switch back to your Best5Collage.PSD using the file TABS in the upper left corner of your open file
Paste the photograph you just copied into the Collage document
- EDIT > PASTE -or- use the keyboard shortcut of Command + V

Re-size the photo (layer) using Free Transform
- EDIT > FREE TRANSFORM -or- use the keyboard shortcut of Command + T

there are different commands available when you activate the Free Transform (see above)
Re-sze, rotate, and arrange the photo layer within the collage (pay attention to the white spaces left in-between photos, as well as how you want to handle the edge of the document - will photos bleed off the edge or be arranged to fit within the document?)
Open the NEXT PHOTO and repeat the steps until you have copied and pasted ALL 5 PHOTOS into your collage.PSD file.
Save often by selecting FILE > SAVE -or- use the keyboard shortcut of Command + S

Submit your finished collage to Google Classroom
- You will earn 5 marks for technical skills in Photoshop in creating the Collage
- You will earn 5 marks for creativity, based on how you arrange your photos and work with the document space - also consider how the photos "relate" to each other based on where you placed them
