A Pixel or picture element is a single point in an image. Many pixels make up one image.
Image resolution describes the detail an image holds. The size of a pixel depends on the resolution of the image. Higher resolution means more image detail and therefore more pixels.
Image resolution (in terms of printing) is measured in DPI (dots per inch).Â
Images with higher resolutions are more clear and detailed. You can also create larger images without getting a blurry image. The file sizes on high resolution images can be much larger to be able to store all of that extra information.
