Monday Oct 29, 2018 and Tuesday Oct 30, 2018:
Day One:
Find a partner to work with.
On partner A's computer workstation: Click to expand the video tutorial below - it will explain how to create a beginner "keyframe animation" in the program Adobe Animate CC 2018
On partner B's computer workstation: You will need to go to your Finder icon (looks like a face) located on your "dock" and locate the folder for the program. Click to open the folder. Then click on the square Icon for Adobe Animate. It will show the letters "An." Launch the Program.
Both partners: Grab your Tools Handout from last week. You may need these notes to help you.
Now that you're all set up:
Play the video tutorial off of partner A's computer screen. As you both watch together, you will follow along in the Adobe Animate program, which should be open on partner B's computer.
PAUSE the video as you go step by step. You may even need to rewind and rewatch something if you miss it the first time.

Day Two:
Research an idea for a simple 5 sec animation you can create on your won (no partners this time).
Consider if you want to make an animated GIF, or use Adobe Animate, or experiment with Stop-Motion Animation.
If you choose Stop-Motion you will be required to draw each of your frames on a white-erase board and photograph each frame. Later, I will show you how to upload your images into iMovie and create a video of your short animation.
If you choose Animated GIF you must create the individual layers in Photoshop that will serve as your animation frames. The graphics must be reasonably altered by you if you are not creating the images using shapes/ lines/ paintbrush to draw.
If you choose Adobe Animate you must create the following: 2 "object" Movements and an "object" Morph (Transformation) of one "shape"/thing into another. If you want to try something more advanced discuss with teacher upon my return.
Create a Storyboard that shows the main action/movements happening. Think about placing your object(s)/character(s) in a simple background (location).
Sketch the storyboard panels on paper (include the framing box around each frame).
You can also download the storyboard template below and print it in the Comm Tech Room.
Storyboards will be due Thurs Nov 1, 2018.
