Bench Mark Preservation Strategies
With statewide geodetic control networks now in place, many states are starting public relations initiatives for survey monument preservation. The goal is to inspire all who have an interest in land use operations to become advocates for monuments by making a habit of reporting any detrimental activity at the site of the control station. This presentation will focus on the methods that the Wisconsin Department of Transportation has in place to perpetuate their statewide geodetic control network to ensure that it remains intact and useable for the all citizens of the state of Wisconsin.
