The Value of PMP Certification for Geospatial Professional
GIS impacts personnel in all aspects of an organization including senior executives, middle managers, and technicians as well as across disciplines including engineering, planning, social services, environmental management or IT. Throughout it all, the geospatial profession is project-centric, because of that, the need for rigorous, formal and scalable project management skills are paramount to successfully leverage geospatial investments. Continental Mapping will make the case for all geospatial organizations to be focused on obtaining PMP certifications within their staff compliment as well as discuss the approach and options for obtaining such a certification.
