Jim Giglierano

Bio: Mr. Giglierano is the current GIO for Wisconsin. He advises the Wisconsin Land Information Program, including assisting local governments with acquisition of lidar data with funding from the USGS 3D Elevation Program. He was formerly with the Iowa Geological Survey and Iowa State University Extension program.

Chair - LiDAR Panel Discussion

Can a regional geospatial conference spark interest in regional cooperation for LiDAR data and other GIS layers? This panel will explore this topic at the end of the LiDAR track, which will showcase LiDAR acquisition technologies, data management options in the cloud, and hydrological applications in the region. With the ongoing infusion of federal funding through 3DEP for new data acquisitions, is there potential for increased cooperation between local, state and federal partners to maximize our efforts? Are there opportunities for developing regional LiDAR derived geospatial products and services for the Great Lakes and Upper Mississippi basin? Come help us outline this exciting, new future.
