he use of the cooking pot varied from one food type to another. The smaller cooking pots were normally accommodated on stands, opened on one side to allow wood to be added in order to heat the pot from below.
Its history can be traced back to early Helladic times with little change in the essential shape, its simplicity and usefulness ensuring a long life.
