If you are currently involved with teaching our Sheffield Medical Students and interested in clinical assessments, this OSCE workshop will introduce you to the basics in assessment theory, how to write OSCE stations, and brief you on the role of the examiner for the Sheffield OSCE. You may come along if you have a general or new interest in assessment, however, if you wish to be a regular examiner for the Sheffield OSCEs, this workshop is mandatory and would be the first step on registering as an examiner with The School of Medicine and Population Health.
If you maintain your interest in examining, then mandatory refreshers are required every three years. The refresher is an online seminar (2 hrs long) and a useful reminder of all that matters about the OSCE.
Please note - If you are a trainee GP or a doctor based in a local teaching hospitals you cannot be paid for this work. Anyone that is eligible for payment must be set up with a vendor account before they can undertake any paid work.
