Workshop Description

Would you like to evidence your engagement with continual professional development, improve your practice and gain professional recognition for your contributions to learning and teaching? Part 1 is an online workshop that will introduce you to our new scheme and the process to  gain recognition  from the Academy of Medical Educators (AoME).  You can come along to Part 2- the face-to-face  workshop to work on developing your application.

Aim

• To raise awareness about professional recognition of learning and teaching through membership of the Academy of Medical Educators (AoME).

1. Describe what is professional recognition of teaching and its benefits

2. Describe the AoME professional standards

3. Identify the AoME membership categories and the appropriate level for your application

4. Consider the next steps for your application for AoME recognition
