Workshop Description
This workshop is for staff who are involved in teaching large groups. It provides an opportunity for you to explore and share strategies used in lecturing and teaching large groups. We introduce strategies to help you engage your audience, design effective lectures and promote active learning.
Aim
To develop participant's ability to apply principles and techniques to help students learn effectively in large group settings.
Learning Outcomes
Explain the purpose of lecturing within your context and discipline.
Apply the principles of effective lecture design to a teaching/presentation situation.
Identify solutions to potential issues related to classroom management.
