Amalya (Mandela), Florence (Shakespeare) and Arshpreet (Seacole) were our three finalists for our internal Spelling Bee competition. Amalya finished first, Florence second and Arshpreet third. Congratulations to all the students who participated and to these three spectacular students.
They faced Leigh Academy Rainham the following week and Amalya was crowned champion of the whole Trust.
Well done to Amalya, Arshpreet, Florence, Faye, Daniel and Denise.
All Key Stage 3 students completed their LAT assessments in lessons in Module 6.
The students prepared well for these, especially with speaking examination. The last Module sparked a lot of interest in our students because they had the opportunity to explore, study and appreciate other cultures - hispanic or francophone.
With Year 11s out of the building now, it is Year 10s turn to start preparing further for their examination in Summer 2026.
They have now sat their Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing in examination conditions.
They will sit another round of mock examinations in Module 2 2025.
Two of our staff members, Ms Bilici and Ms Lopez, have left the school. They have had an incredible impact on both students and staff, and they will be missed.
We all wish them the best in the future endeavours.
